Yes! ProjHQ offers a generous Free plan with core task management for up to 5 members and 2 projects. When you need more, upgrade to Plus ($4.99/user/month), Pro ($12.99/user/month), or Enterprise (custom pricing) for advanced AI features, higher limits, and priority support. Annual billing saves you up to 20%.
Do I need to install anything?
No. ProjHQ is fully cloud-based — access it from any modern browser. You can also install it as a Progressive Web App (PWA) on your phone or tablet for a native app-like experience.
What languages does ProjHQ support?

The interface switches instantly — you can change your language from any page. Arabic is fully supported with right-to-left (RTL) layout.
How does ProjHQ compare to tools like Jira, Trello, or Asana?
ProjHQ combines the best of traditional project management with built-in AI intelligence. Unlike Jira's complexity or Trello's simplicity, ProjHQ offers Kanban boards, Gantt charts, sprint planning, AND an AI assistant that actively helps your team — from auto-triaging tasks to predicting sprint risks. Plus, it's more affordable with a real free tier.

Task Management

What task view modes are available?
We offer four different views: drag-and-drop Kanban board, row-based table view, date-based calendar view, and Gantt chart with dependency arrows. Switch between views with a single click.
Can I create dependencies between tasks?
Yes. You can define task relationships such as "Blocks", "Related", and "Duplicate" to keep your workflow organized. Relationships are visualized as dependency arrows in the Gantt view, making it easy to see how tasks connect.
Can I perform bulk operations?
Yes. In table view, you can select multiple tasks and apply bulk changes to status, priority, and assignments, as well as archive or delete them. This is especially time-saving during sprint planning.
How do recurring tasks work?
You can create recurring task templates with daily, weekly, monthly, or custom intervals. The system automatically creates a new task copy at your specified time and sends a notification to the assigned person.
Can I define custom fields?
Yes. From project settings, you can add custom field types such as text, number, date, URL, checkbox, single select, and multi select. Up to 30 custom fields can be defined per project.

Views and Filters

Can I save my filters?
Yes. You can save your filter, sort, and grouping combinations as saved views and share them with your team. Each member can also create their own personal views.
What does the Gantt chart show?
The Gantt chart visualizes your tasks on a timeline. It shows start and end dates, dependency arrows between tasks, and milestones all on one screen.
Can I move tasks in the calendar view?
Yes. You can drag and drop tasks between days to instantly update due dates. The calendar shows all assigned and dated tasks on a monthly or weekly basis.

Sprints & Epics

What is a sprint and how do I create one?
A sprint is a set of tasks targeted for completion within a time period, typically 1-4 weeks. You can create new sprints, assign tasks, and track progress with burndown charts from the "Sprints" section in the project menu.
Is there drag and drop in the sprint board?
Yes. You can drag tasks between status columns in the sprint board to quickly update their status. You can also move tasks between sprints.
What is an epic?
An epic represents a large work item that spans multiple sprints. You can visually track the completion percentage and sprint distribution of tasks under each epic.

AI Features

What AI model powers ProjHQ?
ProjHQ is powered by a cutting-edge, enterprise-grade AI engine — one of the fastest and most capable large language models available today. It delivers instant responses with deep reasoning capabilities, ensuring your AI assistant understands complex project contexts, code structures, and team dynamics with remarkable accuracy.
What can the AI assistant do?
ProjHQ's AI assistant is your intelligent project co-pilot. It can summarize tasks, analyze project risks, calculate health scores, generate sprint retrospectives, decompose large tasks into subtasks, review code, create daily standup reports, predict sprint completion probability, and answer questions about your project in natural language. Access it from the chat panel in any project.
What is the AI Health Score?
The AI Health Score is a real-time indicator of your project's overall health, calculated from metrics like task completion rate, overdue ratio, velocity trends, sprint completion, and workload balance. It predicts at-risk tasks, forecasts sprint success probability, and flags potential team burnout — so you can take action before problems escalate.
How does AI task decomposition work?
Describe a large feature or epic in natural language, and the AI automatically breaks it down into well-structured subtasks with priorities and story point estimates. This saves hours of manual planning and ensures nothing is missed.
What are AI Smart Filters?
Instead of manually clicking through filter options, simply describe what you're looking for in plain language — like "show me overdue tasks assigned to the backend team" — and the AI instantly translates your request into precise task filters. It understands project context, member names, and task relationships.
Can AI generate standup reports?
Yes! The AI generates daily standup reports based on actual task activity — what was completed, what's in progress, what's blocked. It highlights top contributors, tracks team velocity, and can be copied to clipboard or shared with stakeholders. No more manual status updates.
What are Proactive AI Alerts?
Available on the Pro plan and above, proactive alerts use AI to continuously monitor your project and automatically warn you about potential issues — like a task likely to miss its deadline, an overloaded team member, or a sprint falling behind velocity targets. Think of it as an early warning system for your project.
Is my AI chat history private?
Absolutely. Your AI conversations are completely private and visible only to you. No other team member — not even organization admins — can see your AI chat history. If you want to share an AI insight with your team, you can manually add it as a task comment.

Collaboration

How do I invite team members?
You can send invitations via GitHub username from the organization or project settings. The invited person receives a notification when they sign into ProjHQ. You can assign roles at the organization level: owner, deputy, admin, and member.
How do notifications work?
Task assignments, status changes, comments, @mentions, and invitation notifications appear in the in-app notification panel. You can also stay informed through webhook integrations like Slack, Discord, Telegram, Microsoft Teams, and Google Chat.
Can I track time?
Yes. You can start and stop a timer for each task or manually enter time. Analyze time spent by person and period from the reports page.

Integrations

How does GitHub integration work?
By linking a GitHub repository to your project, you unlock collaborator synchronization, document syncing, and repository info tracking. Your GitHub team structure and repo activity flow directly into ProjHQ. Set it up from the "GitHub" section in project settings.
Which notification platforms do you support?
ProjHQ has built-in webhook integrations for Slack, Discord, Telegram, Microsoft Teams, and Google Chat. Get real-time notifications for task updates, comments, sprint changes, and more — right where your team already communicates.
How can I integrate with external tools?
From the webhooks section in project settings, configure HTTP webhooks for events like task creation, status changes, and comment additions. Each webhook can be individually enabled or disabled. Use this to connect ProjHQ with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, or any custom workflow.
What is MCP Server integration?
Available exclusively on the Enterprise plan, MCP (Model Context Protocol) server integration allows ProjHQ to connect with your existing AI infrastructure and development tools. This enables advanced automation workflows, custom AI model integrations, and seamless data exchange between ProjHQ and your internal systems.

Security & Privacy

Is my data safe?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.3 and at rest with AES-256 encryption. ProjHQ implements organization-level data isolation, role-based access control with fine-grained permissions, and comprehensive audit logging.
Can I export my data?
Data portability is on our roadmap. Your data belongs to you and is always under your control — we follow GDPR-ready data processing practices with documented retention policies. In the meantime, our support team can assist with data requests.
Is two-factor authentication (2FA) supported?
Yes. ProjHQ offers built-in two-factor authentication (TOTP) that you can enable from your security settings. Additionally, since you sign in through GitHub OAuth, any 2FA protection on your GitHub account adds an extra layer of security to your login flow.
How does ProjHQ handle my AI data?
Your project data sent to the AI assistant is processed securely and never used to train AI models. Each organization's data is strictly isolated, and AI conversations are private to individual users. Our AI infrastructure meets enterprise-grade security standards, and no data is retained by the provider after processing.

Pricing & Plans

What plans does ProjHQ offer?
ProjHQ offers four plans: Free (1 org, 5 members, 2 projects, 500 MB storage), Plus at $4.99/user/month (3 orgs, 15 members, unlimited projects, 5 GB storage, AI chat & code review), Pro at $12.99/user/month (5 orgs, 50 members, all AI features including auto-triage, workflow automation, proactive alerts, and sprint retrospectives, 50 GB storage), and Enterprise with custom pricing (unlimited everything, MCP server, dedicated support, SLA guarantee).
What's the difference between monthly and annual billing?
Annual billing saves you up to 20%. Plus costs $3.99/user/month when billed annually ($47.88/year) versus $4.99 monthly. Pro costs $9.99/user/month annually ($119.88/year) versus $12.99 monthly.
What happens if I exceed my plan limits?
When you reach a limit — whether it's organization count, member slots, storage, or AI token quota — ProjHQ notifies you and suggests an appropriate upgrade. Your existing work is never lost or locked. You simply cannot create new resources beyond your limit until you upgrade or the monthly quota resets.
Is there an API available?
Webhook integrations are currently available for connecting ProjHQ with your existing tools and automations. Enterprise plan customers get access to MCP server integration for advanced programmatic interactions. A public REST API is on our roadmap for future release.
How does Enterprise pricing work?
Enterprise pricing is custom-tailored to your organization's needs. It includes unlimited organizations, members, projects, and storage, plus exclusive features like MCP server integration, dedicated support, custom SLA guarantees, and priority queue processing.
